Who to call
- Palmetto Electric outage: PowerTouch, 1-866-445-5551, 24 hours
- Dominion Energy outage or downed line: 1-888-333-4465
- Dominion Energy natural gas leak: 1-800-815-0083, from a safe place

Palmetto Electric Cooperative
- Report an outage: call PowerTouch at 1-866-445-5551, log in to MyEnergy Online or use the MyEnergy mobile app. All three are available 24 hours a day.
- Outage map: outage.palmetto.coop, and the statewide Electric Cooperatives of South Carolina outage map.
- Call from the phone number on your account. PowerTouch is tied to the co-op’s mapping system, so a call from the number at the service address pinpoints the location, Palmetto Electric says.
- Leave details. Say whether your neighbors are out too, whether only part of the house is dark, and whether you saw a line down or heard a loud noise before the power went out.
- Check the breaker first. The co-op asks members to check their main breaker before reporting.
- PalmettoLink internet outages are reported separately at 803-398-1170.
Dominion Energy South Carolina
- Report an outage or check status: Dominion Energy SC outage center
- Outage map: outagemap.dominionenergysc.com
- Downed lines: stay at least 30 feet away and call 1-888-333-4465.
- Alerts: sign up for outage texts and email alerts through your Dominion Energy account.
Downed power lines
Both utilities say the same thing: never approach a downed line. Palmetto Electric says to call 911 right away if you see one and to treat it as live and dangerous, even if you think it is a cable or telephone line. Dominion asks people to stay at least 30 feet away.
