Bluffton’s public schools are run by the Beaufort County School District, which runs every public school in the county, from Bluffton and Hilton Head Island to Beaufort and the Sea Islands. The district office is 843-322-2300. The town itself does not run schools, and school zones do not follow the town limits: the district draws separate elementary, middle and high school zones, and Okatie Elementary, which serves part of town, sits just outside the limits.
