Two of Bluffton’s ice cream shops are at the Tanger Outlets on Fording Island Road: Ben & Jerry’s at No. 1260 and Kilwins at No. 1414. The rest are spread out: The Ice Cream Stop at May River Crossing on the western side of town, Jack Frost on William Pope Court and Dairy Queen on Plantation Park Drive. How we made this list. Our starting point was OpenStreetMap records inside Bluffton, the same data behind our local directory, plus shops from the state’s SC Food Grades inspection records whose own website gives a Bluffton address, each checked against that site on Oct. 12, 2026. Ben & Jerry’s runs a scoop shop at the Tanger Outlets at 1260 Fording Island Road, which the chain lists as its Hilton Head shop although the address is Bluffton. It serves scoops in cups and dipped waffle cones, milkshakes and sundaes, takes takeout orders online and caters. It is open the same hours every day.

Dairy Queen Grill & Chill on Plantation Park Drive is the soft-serve and burger chain, with dine-in, a drive-thru and delivery. Its location page shows only the day’s opening time, so check before a late trip.

The Ice Cream Stop calls itself a local, family-owned ice cream shop, with its Bluffton store at May River Crossing and others in Pooler, Richmond Hill and Rincon, Georgia. It posts a flavor of the month on its site; the current one is pumpkin. Its phone number spells 757-STOP.

Jack Frost Homemade Ice Cream on William Pope Court says all of its ice cream is made in small batches in Bluffton with a focus on quality ingredients. It opens in the afternoon, at 1 p.m., every day of the week.

Kilwins is the chocolate, fudge and ice cream chain. Its Bluffton shop at the Tanger Outlets at 1414 Fording Island Road sells chocolate assortments, chocolate bars, chocolate-covered treats and candies alongside ice cream, and posts fudge and flavor news on its store page.

State inspection records show other dessert and frozen treat businesses with Bluffton addresses, including Rita’s Italian Ice on Venture Drive, Chill-N Nitrogen Ice Cream on Towne Drive, Cone Crazy Creamery on Buck Island Road and LoCone at Parkside Commons. We could not reach a website for them that gives their address and hours, so they are not in the table.
