Breakfast in Bluffton clusters in two places. Old Town has Squat ‘N’ Gobble and Corner Perk on May River Road and The Cottage on Calhoun Street. The Fording Island Road corridor has First Watch, IHOP and a Starbucks, with Island Bagel & Deli in Sheridan Park and Eggs Up Grill, Plantation Cafe and two more Starbucks stores out toward Buckwalter and May River Crossing. Most of the sit-down places close by mid-afternoon.

Our starting point was OpenStreetMap records inside Bluffton, the same data behind our local directory, plus places from the state’s SC Food Grades inspection records, each checked against its own website on Oct. 12, 2026. Squat ‘N’ Gobble’s site does not give its street address; the address below is from OpenStreetMap and its state inspection record. The list is alphabetical. The Cottage Cafe, Bakery and Tea Room on Calhoun Street in Old Town serves breakfast and lunch six days a week and brunch on Sunday. Reservations are by phone only, and afternoon tea is by reservation.

Corner Perk is a brunch cafe and coffee roaster on May River Road in Old Town. It describes espresso drinks made from locally roasted beans with house-made syrups, and sells its coffee by subscription online.

Eggs Up Grill is a breakfast and lunch chain with a Bluffton restaurant on Hope Pond Way. It lists breakfast and lunch combinations and also caters.

First Watch is a breakfast, brunch and lunch chain with a Bluffton restaurant on Fording Island Road. Its location page lets diners join the waitlist online or by phone and order ahead for pickup.

IHOP on Towne Drive, near Fording Island Road and Belfair Village Drive, is the pancake chain, and its location page lists it as open around the clock.

Island Bagel & Deli has a Bluffton store on Sherington Drive and another on Hilton Head Island. The Bluffton store is open from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. every day.

Nectar Farm Kitchen on Bluffton Road serves breakfast, lunch and dinner and opens an hour earlier on weekends, at 9 a.m.

Plantation Cafe & Deli began as a Hilton Head Island breakfast and lunch restaurant and now has a Bluffton location on Discovery Drive in Buckwalter. It serves breakfast and lunch all day and offers boxed meals and catering. Its site does not post separate hours for Bluffton, so call ahead.

Squat ‘N’ Gobble in Old Town calls itself the oldest continuously operating restaurant in Bluffton. It is open from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday to Saturday and takes special orders for its cinnamon rolls with 24 hours’ notice.

Starbucks runs three stand-alone Bluffton stores, on Fording Island Road, on Bleecker Street South off Buckwalter Parkway and at May River Crossing. There are also Starbucks counters inside the Kroger stores at 125 Towne Drive (6 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily) and 27 Discovery Drive (6 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily) and the Target at 1050 Fording Island Road (8 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily).
