Bluffton’s burgers come from three kinds of places. The Promenade in Old Town has Slider Bar and Captain Woody’s next door to each other on State of Mind Street. The Fording Island Road and Bluffton Road corridor has the chains: Five Guys, Wayback Burgers, McDonald’s, Wendy’s and, in Sheridan Park, Sonic. And pubs around town, from Katie O’Donald’s to Okatie Ale House, list burgers on their menus.

How we made this list. Our starting point was OpenStreetMap records inside Bluffton, the same data behind our local directory, plus places from the state’s SC Food Grades inspection records whose own website or menu lists burgers at a Bluffton address, each checked against that site on Oct. 12, 2026. The places

British Open Pub is a British-style pub on Sherington Drive in Sheridan Park. Its food menu lists burgers, including one it calls “The Scoe Daddy,” alongside pub plates and wings.

Captain Woody’s is a seafood bar and grill on the Promenade. Its menu has a section of Captain’s Burgers, with cheeses, sautéed mushrooms, sautéed onions and bacon as add-ons, and the restaurant’s site shows an outdoor seating area.

Dairy Queen Grill & Chill on Plantation Park Drive is the burger and soft-serve chain, with dine-in, drive-thru and delivery. Its location page shows the day’s opening time only.

Five Guys is the burger and fries chain, with a Bluffton restaurant on Fording Island Road open the same hours every day.

Katie O’Donald’s Irish Pub on Fording Island Road lists a burger section on its menu and burger sliders, three mini burgers with grilled onions and American cheese, among its appetizers.

McDonald’s has two Bluffton restaurants, on Fording Island Road and on Discovery Drive in Buckwalter. The chain’s store locator lists both as open 24 hours, with drive-thrus.

Okatie Ale House on William Pope Drive lists the Ale House Burger, an 8-ounce Angus burger with a choice of cheese, and a turkey burger.

Slider Bar is a family-owned restaurant on the Promenade that builds its menu around sliders made from a blend of brisket, short rib and chuck, with seasonal toppings and house-made sauces, plus craft cocktails and local beer.

Sonic Drive-In in Sheridan Park is the drive-in burger chain, open from 8 a.m. every day.

Wayback Burgers is the burger chain, with a Bluffton location at the Walmart on Bluffton Road.

Wendy’s has two Bluffton restaurants, one in Belfair Village off Fording Island Road and one on Evan Way in New Riverside. Both serve breakfast and have drive-thrus, and the Belfair restaurant stays open to 1 a.m. on Friday and Saturday.
